FUNDRAISING AND ADVOCACY OFFICER
We are co-recruiting a highly organised, passionate and dynamic individual to join us as a fundraising and advocacy officer.
The role will involve working with Action for Women, Mazí Housing and Velos Youth on collaborative fundraising applications and advocacy campaigns. Our collaboration is built on our shared approach of providing safe spaces and facilitating the formation of communities, access to equal opportunities and choice for displaced communities.
You will be crucial to ensure that we continue providing vital services for our participants in 2025, as you lead the development of our annual fundraising plans to ensure that our financial goals are met for 2025/2026 with grant applications and online fundraising campaigns.
You are expected to be based in Athens as we believe that the successful candidate must immerse themself in the essence of our work and our day-to-day operations, understand how we work and why. The successful candidate will therefore be encouraged also to join us once a month in various forms. We welcome your ideas on how best you wish to apply your skills in this context, which will hopefully give you a solid sense of our work and approach.
Core Responsibilities:
Research for grant opportunities from foundations and the European Union, that align with our missions and goals of the collective and each individual organisation.
Develop persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate our goals, objectives and strategies to potential funders, with accurate supporting documentation based on funding requirements of the potential donors.
Develop creative new ways to effectively engage the public with support for our work, including developing advocacy campaigns, while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and current donors in continuing to support our work
Create compelling content for advocacy campaigns aligned with our shared values.
Maintain and submit timely records/reports related to grant opportunities, while maintaining accurate records of submissions and outcomes.
